DHCP reservation for Omada EAP
Hello all,
Our cafe runs on Omada-only equipment (TL-R605 Omada router, 4x EAP225 AP, OC200 controller). Everything works great.
Just one question : is it possible to set the IP of the 4 access point via DHCP reservation (they don't appear in the "connected devices" panel, so I cannot do it there, as I did for the other equipments - the OC200, the PiHole, the NVR & cameras are all through DHCP reservation).
Thanks,
PapyPom

Hi guys,
How can I reserve an address for my switch?
I can switch DHCP to Static, but would it be static out of DHCP range or DHCP reserverd address?
Thanks

Dear Fae!
Thaks your answer it's good to me too. I have also an ER605 but before I adopted the Omada controller, I can add IP-s by click to the Address reservation. Will there be develop this function in the Omada? I can type the 100+ IP-s but much time.
Regards, Daniel.

@Zedan_ises Thanks for your update, sounds promising.
Quick question to understand if I interpret it correctly, before wracking my settings again .
I use the Omada app with controller 'OC200(UN) ver1.0' with 3 EAP265HD. Also have a TL-R605(UN) that I wanted to adopt as well, but (previously) didn't manage to set DHCP reservation via the Omada app. So instead had to set it up separately (not via Omada app).
Given my setup, is "DHCP reservation possible for the TL-R605" now available via the Omada app?
Would be great if I could finally use Omada app to manage my TP-Link products.

Hi @TJV
I have a similar setup (OC-200, TL-R605, EAP110).
I've set up the Router manually (192.168.128.1 in my case) to make sure it works.
Then I adopted it with the Cloud-Controller and made sure the DHCP Range is correct and is excuding the IP of the Router (192.168.128.1 in my case). So the config in OC-200 is set up tp provides IPs from 192.168.128.2 to .254. I believe the DHCP is still managed by the Router, just the config is happening in the OC. So any configuration gets sent to the Router? Not sure about that though.
If I can help with any more screenshots, let me know.

Thanks for the quick reply. So DHCP can work under Omada that is good news. But do IP reservations work as well from the Omada App?
In the Tl_R605 config it can be setup under Network - LAN - Address Reservation, but couldnt find it in the app.

Not quite sure what you mean under "Omada App"... the Web-Interface is what I use (https://omada.tplinkcloud.com/#controller)

Aha, now I finally get it :) I was using the iOS app that is very limited in its functionality, It didn't cross my mind that the website login was different LT that it would offer so much more functionality. Thanks, now I finally see all the settings as well.

Hi,
Based on the reply from TPlink DHCP reservation is not available right now (will be, but they are not sure when) and I was trying without success your way - does it work for you?
Can you please comment how it is finally with this DHCP reservations, as you last reply is from Jan.
