Model: TL-SG1016DE
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Latest

I have the setup as specified in the picture below:

As Soon as I connect Port 1 to the ISP I cannot manage the switch, the TP-link easy smart configuration tool does not even detect the witch.

I used VLAN ID 2 for port 1 till 8 to seperate it from vlan id =1 (which is default). The router is connected twice to the switch, first at port 2 for the WAN side and port 15 for the LAN traffic.

Is this normal behavior?

Johan

Dear @JohanV,

Please check the PVID settings. For your setup, you may set the PVID as below.

Port1 & Port2: PVID=2;

Port3 till Port8: PVID=4;

Other ports: PVID=1.

By the way, please check the IP settings of the switch, you may change the switch IP address to fit into your router's LAN.

If you still have trouble, please upload the VLAN config and IP settings of the switch for analysis. Thank you!

@JohanV

The IP address of the switch is static set to the same subnet as my LAN (192.68.0.2/24).
