Dear @Hudson_Steve,
I had a Windstream router that used "RFC 1483 via DHCP" as the WAN connection type. It wasn't clear how this translated to the connection type for the TL-R600VPN.
There is no option to select IPoE on the TL-R600VPN router. If you have tried configure the WAN as Dynamic IP but failed to obtain IP address to get Internet, please try the following steps and verify if it works.
1. Connect a PC directly to your ISP modem, ensure you can get Internet access.
2. Disconnect the PC and connect the ISP modem to the WAN port of the R600VPN router.
3. Connect the same PC to the LAN port of the R600VPN router and log into the web UI of the R600VPN router.
4. On the router page, go to Network -> WAN -> WAN1/WAN2 (depends on which WAN port is connected to the ISP modem).
5. Select Connection Type as Dynamic IP, save the settings.
6. Go to Network -> MAC, click "Clone Current PC's MAC" button for the connected WAN interface, Save.
7. Go back to Network -> WAN -> WAN1/WAN2, check whether the Connection Status is Connected with IP addresses.
If the Connection Status is still Disconnected with IP 0.0.0.0, please turn off the ISP modem and R600VPN router (ISP modem off first). Make sure the modem is completely turned off (If there is battery inside the ISP modem, take it out). Wait for about 30 seconds, turn on the router and ISP modem (power on the ISP modem after the router is completely on), confirm whether the Connection Status is Connected with IP addresses.
