Model: AC500
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20181120 Rel.40749

Hi TP Link support and friends,

I am setting up a network with TL-SG108E. Below is the diagram.

The ISP router is running DHCP service in VLAN 10. It will be connected to the switch port 1. I have a single network interface pfSense router. It is connected to switch port 2 with 2 VLANs: VLAN 10 for WAN and VLAN 1 for LAN. Port 3 to 8 is for LAN with VLAN 1.

Could you advise how should I set up these in the switch UI page. I have tried sometimes and was failed.

Appreciate if you could advise on this. Thank you!

@dvckbiz, this topology is not recommended. You will run into serious troubles when using an Easy Smart Switch on the WAN. It will be exposed to the Internet.

Get a second NIC for your pfsense router and separate the WAN network from the LAN using the pfsense firewall. You need a firewall between the Internet and your LAN. In order for any router be able to protect your LAN, the router needs two interfaces. Running pfsense on a hardware which has only one NIC makes not much sense at all when not using an ISP-grade managed switch with special security features.
