May I ask how you get the omada domain name work with the OC200 4.1.5? There is another post even saying the SSL cerificate doesn't work. https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/224700

Dear @peter021,

There is no option to configure a domain name on the Omada Controller 4.1.5, so the portal redirection will only use the IP address instead of the domain name. At present, the portal redirection adopts HTTP connection, to redirect to HTTPs connection, you may need to use an external web server so that you can customize it to HTTPs port.

@Fae

The OC200 forces a redirect to its IP address with https.  This seems like a bad plan, as you can't use a domain name and therefore any attempts to use a correct certificate are doomed to failure--and you can't even not use http.  Or am I missing something?

Dear @ivanlan9,

The OC200 forces a redirect to its IP address with https.  This seems like a bad plan, as you can't use a domain name and therefore any attempts to use a correct certificate are doomed to failure--and you can't even not use http.  Or am I missing something?

Are you trying to custom the SSL certificate for the OC200 and use a domain name to access OC200?

With Omada Controller V4, we can visit https://[Omada Controller Host’s IP address or URL]:[Port] to log in to the Omada Controller.

In this post, the SSL certificate for Omada Controller is working fine and @peter021 can log into the controller with the domain name as it's mentioned in the beginning (if I'm not wrong, the domain name should be set by @peter021 and bound with the Controller IP).

If I misunderstand your problem, could you tell your application scenario and requirement? What's the firmware version of your OC200?

@Fae

This is a terrible implementation. Is there any intention to fix this? This means that any credentials are passed in the clear and can easily be captured literally out of the sky!
