I watched the video.  So are you saying that Portal based authentication is faster using the TP-Link solution than the Unifi solution?  Was Omada running on a local server or o nthe OC-200?  Was this the legacy Omada or the new SDN?

How do the Wifi speeds compare after authenticating?

In my tests I show that Omada currently offers the best connection time to the hotspot portal (only if you use the External RADIUS Server). It is important not to mix it with other types of speeds that already depend on the network itself and the ISP provider.
The Omada software is not in a local server, it is in an external server, just to say that we usually use to host controller in Digital Ocean, in a VPS server priced at only $10 the controller can work very well, and in Omada controller you can have many customers.
