Model: TL-R470T+
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version:

I am trying to connect to my ISP on WAN1 via PPPoE the problem I am encountering is that there is no option the enter a static IP for that connection which my ISP requieres for authentification as well as the username and password. When I am trying to use another router with the same credentials and the static IP the connection works fine, but with the TL-R470T it keeps failing as shown in the log below.
I aleady tried the obvious things like, using the secondary connection where I can enter a static IP and checken that I have no typos or caps in the credentials. I also tried differnt firmware versions, hoping one still offers entering a static IP, as is posible on other TP-Link models, but all without success. Any ideas how to solve that issue?

Dear @Master-Minder,

From the log info, it seems that the PPPoE username or password is wrong. Just in case, please confirm that the username and password are put in correctly, they are case sensitive. And configure the static IP as the secondary connection.

In addition, as you mentioned that other router with the same credentials and the static IP the connection works fine, please also disconnect the PPPoE connection before you try it on the 470T+ router and see if it makes any difference.

If it doesn't help, could you please tell the model and hardware version of the other working router? Who is your ISP? Does your ISP provide the internet service with IPv6 instead of IPv4?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

@Fae Thanks for you reply. I already tried copy paste thew credentials, as well as typing them manually to make sure it's not a typo issue. I am pretty sure it's the issue that my ISP identifies the account not just by username and password but also by the given IP. Because if I switch the other router to dynamic IP it won't work neighter, but with the fixed one it does. The other router is a Netgear AC1750. Setting the 2nd Connection to static IP doesn't work neighter.
With regards to my internet provider, it's a local one in Paraguay called "Vision Internet" and unfortunatly does not provide IPv6.

Is there any chance getting telnet or ssh connection to the load balancer and configure the WAN port via console? Since it seems it is just a missing feature in the web interface tbh.

@Master-Minder

May I know the current firmware version of your TL-R470T+ V6 router?

Please ensure it is working with the latest firmware Build 20200313, you can get the firmware from the link below.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-r470t%252B/#Firmware

I'm afraid not, TL-R470T+ V6 doesn't support telnet or ssh connection.

Please provide a screenshot of the full Log info if the PPPoE connection failed with the latest firmware. Thanks.

Same issue faced by me
TL-R470T+ v6.0
6.0.4 Build 20200313 Rel.32850

Dynamic Ip works,
PPPOE does not work,

I have a Tenda router which has fiber connected pppoe and it works, but when i try to connect it via TL load balancer it fails.
