Upgrading OC200 to latest and Loging in "locally"

I was not looking for any specifig upgrade but yesterday I hit the upgrade link on my controller and it loaded 1.2.3 Build 20200430 . Noticing that I did not see any changes I was searching the forum I stumbled on a thread about the SDN upgrade and see on their upgrade page that there is a version 1.7.0 Build 20200703. I am guessing the upgrades are sequential since my upgrade did not go directly to it... Trying to upgrade to the newest version I hit the upgrade button and it tells me"
Incompatible firmware version has been detected. If continue with upgrade, the configurations and data will be lost. Please back up the configurations before upgrading.
Click "Upgrade Now" to upgrade with the configurations backed up or "Cancel" to cancel this upgrade.
Figuring I was doing something wrong I went through the upgrade guide. It does not say to just hit the "upgrade" link but rather goes through a process. In that process they tell you to backup the device. However, when I hit the "Backup & Restore" tab, It says "This function is available only for local logged-in users." I cant find any information on how to log in locally.
Also I checked the compatibility versions on my AP's Ion their upgrade guide it says the following on my two models of AP's:
EAP225_V3 2.20.0 Build 20200422 Rel. 70513 and above
EAP225-Outdoor_V1 1.20.0 Build 20200422 Rel. 70543 and above
