Model: CPE210
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing good.

I want to expand internet connection from my friend's house to mine that is exactly 1.36km in terms of shortest distance(radius). There is a clear line-of-sight with no obstacles in between.

The AP CPE would be connected to 8 or 15 Mbps internet connection. I want almost the same speed at Client CPE with minimal packet loss, so is a pair of CPE210 in WISP mode suitable for this job? Will it fulfill my requirements?

There are a few 5Ghz CPEs of other brands operating nearby. But mostly people are using 4G devices.

I know the specs mention that the CPE can do 5+ km, I'd still like to hear the word of someone experienced or someone who's already using this CPE for such range, because the local shops here do not accept refunds easily.

If set up by a professional, a pair of CPEs can cover this distance and reach this throughput.

However, I would use CPE510 since in my region (EU) the 5 GHz band allows for non-overlapping 20 MHz channels. What's more, CPE510 can use a much higher signal level (up to 10 times more than CPE210 if allowed by your country's regulatory provisions) and a smaller antenna beam width (CPE510: 45º, CPE210: 65º).

We did achieve 90 Mbps over 538m with CPE510 (see this story), but only 3 Mbps on the same link with two CPE210, since there were ~120 APs inside the 65º beam width of a CPE210 competing with our CPE for AirTime.

However, nobody can give you a guarantee that you can achieve the same throughput or even a wireless link at your place. This depends on so many influences on site that the use of any WiFi equipment must be tested in every case.

Thus, if your retail store isn't willing to let you test the CPEs before buying, consider to buy them from Amazon, who will take back the devices if you are not satisfied with them.

@R1D2 alright, thank you for replying, so it seems trial and error is the only method to check whether or not a CPE will work for me.
