Model: CPE210
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: CPE210(US)_2.0-up-ver2-2-1-P1[20190620-rel61487]

CPE210 setup in client(I will call #C1) will not lock to CPE210 setup in AP mode(I will call #AP2). I have had #AP2 unit for a year setup in AP mode connected to house router that's connected to internet. It has worked fine for "devices" to connect to. Now I bought another CPE210 (#C2)to use at a barn 250ft away. Could not get #C1 to connect to #AP2 until I updated firmware on #AP2 then I was able to get my wired PC connected to #C1 to show it was locked to #AP1 and it had a fast internet connection. I had to turn off the power to #C1 and ever since it will not lock onto #AP2 but it shows it is connected to my 5G band on the in house router that #AP2 is connected to by wire. I have checked the "Lock to AP" box on settings on C#1. Also my phone, tablet, and other devices will connect to #AP2 just fine so surely it is working. I just can't get #C1 to connect to it again. Is there a way to delete something to stop #C1 from connecting to the 5G band on the in house router? I did change the #C1 ip address to be different from #AP2 when 1st setting them up. Each have a different SSID broadcasting and each have different passwords setup.

Thanks for all your help.

There is something really weird going on: If CPE C1 indeed connects to the 5 GHz band of your house router, it must be a CPE510, not a CPE210. CPE210 supports only the 2.4 GHz band, but not the 5 GHz band.

BTW: there is an own subforum for discussion of Pharos products here.

@R1D2 Sorry I didn't see the subforum. Should I post there? The box for the new CPE210 that is configured as Client says on the box: CPE210 2.4GHz 200 Mbps. Here are screen shots of the network. I have a cat6 cable running from PC ethernet port to the power adapter for the CPE210 client and it's pointed at the house which has the other CPE210 configured as AP. What's odd is I have a different password for the Netgear router in the house and was never asked for this password. In the client settings I checked the box to Lock to AP after the survey and I did enter the AP password. Odd.

@Superprohero, you can post in any forum, but in the Wireless Broadband more Pharos users are reading which can help in case of issues with CPEs.

As for the network view of your PC it does not show connections to the WiFi network of your Netgear, but it shows the connectivity to the router itself (over the cable to the CPE) which is all it can detect. It can't detect the CPE nor the wireless link – which seems to be working fine if BIGDOG is connected to the remote CPE –, but only the Netgear router which is wired to the local CPE.

The wireless link over both CPEs is transparent for the PC, thus your PC can't detect it. You should not rely on such information. Just connect to the CPE's web UI and see the »Status« page for detailed information about the link state of the CPEs.
