EAP-245 poor 2.4Ghz performance
Hi, i'm experiencing really poor 2.4Ghz performance, anyone knows if theres a bug being worked on?

Okay... That was a long story, to try to hide the most important thing. Here's a short version. My 2.4ghz throughput sucks. Now I haven't measured this when there is a full moon or the stars have aligned in a certain way. I actually just measured the end result - the throughput to the client, and the speed accomplished by that client, in a simple file download. The same client have performed 5 times better on a different AP, with the same test.
So you tell me, how I shouldn't conclude that there's an issue with 2.4 GHz when 5ghz works, and other AP don't give me the same poor performance.
You can call it a toy to use speed test, but its still the end result that gets displayed.

Yeah, i could use the old AP. But I bought this for myself. So I would like to use it.
It's okay there's a bug that needs to be fixed, but I don't wanna argue about the fact that it, exists... I've experienced it. Actually I only turned to speed test, because I felt there was something wrong when I used my phone and it jumped to 2.4. I have it set up with one ssid for each band, to control what goes where.
I wasn't expecting the eap245 to beat my old Netgear r7000 router in speed throughput, but when performance in download goes down to 1-3 Mbps and maxes out at 10-13 Mbps, something must be wrong. The funny thing is upload is solid around 40 Mbps..
Could it be that your customers don't explicitly connect to 2.4 GHz and always are covered by 5ghz. Because there's no issues there... Judging from your test results you're not measuring 2.4 but 5ghz.
And yes, there's clearly an issue with the eap firmware.

No, I was measuring 2.4 GHz throughput. If I measure 5 GHz throughput of an EAP225, I get 640 Mbps in my installations. See my other performance tests of EAP225 here in the forum.
However, it seems that your goal is to solve possible issues in your installation by having others fix a firmware that is not the cause of those issues.
I had given enough tips in my post on how to check what could be wrong and how it could be fixed, but I'm no longer willing to waste my spare time with the same red herring brought up here by home users again and again when such an aggressive tone comes into my way.

You shouldn't waste time. Not would I expect it. Just saying that making a long post to tell me I don't have an issue is wrong when I clearly have one. I have tested with the same client (a phone), and same channels on this AP and my old one. My old one gave me 50-60 Mbps, and this one gave me 1-5 at first, but after the new firmware it's about 10 Mbps.
So no I'm not expecting firmware to fix local installation issues, just fix the throughput of 2.4. but hey, maybe you have changed a setting which fixes it.

My issue was solved via disable Bluetooth on the phone...
Bluetooth and wifi works together on 2.4 GHz.... When Bluetooth turn on wifi speed is very low and jitter is high.

Okay.. still wierd that my issues don't persist on my old AP. I have looked at the new omada Ctrl. Software and there's a setting to set 'no ack' I will try at a time.

@blj-74 I have similar issues. Even with all advanced settings turned off. I can replicate this on two raspberry pi devices on 2.4 ghz. I can also replicate it on my daughters 2010 MacBook with a usb WiFi dongle (5ghz). When switching to my 2.4 only ssid interference goes 95% on my EAP245's and Speedtest is like 2Mb up/down. Connecting to 5ghz I can get up to 100Mb up/down. Only SSID not mine is the ATT one, so no interference there, nor did I have interference issues on my old Airport extremes.

Yeah, i must say had i known this before I would have gone for another solution. There doesn't seem to be any recognition that this problem exists..
At the same time I have extremely poor range on 5ghz, which is sorta expected, but it is really poor compared to my old consumer grade router..

I too have much poorer 2.4ghz performance compared to my Asus RT-AC86 consumer grade router. Same settings, same channel, same everything. Same physical position even. Previous router would give me 60-100 Mbps, the EAP gives 16-25 Mbps. It is not impacting my day to.day use as we have no performance oriented devices using this band, and the 5G coverage and performance is very good with two ap's.
But I would say that there is a definite issue with 2.4g performance.
