@Droman We have the plan to add mesh feature on the EAP245 V3.0, but there is still some bugs that we need to fix. We will release it to the offical website when we finish it.

I just bought one of these for my network specifically for the mesh - I need to bridge a wired devices in a location that doesn't have a physical port nearby. When will this feature be available? From this thread it looks like you've promised it since May.

@reven Now EAP225-Outdoor and EAP225 V3.0 support Mesh feature. For the EAP245 V3.0, we are always trying to add the mesh feature. When we finish it, we will release it in the website.

Why are we still waiting for mesh on eap245 for 4 months? I bought this for the better coverage and I am unable to use the mesh feature which is extremely frustrating. This should be a priority!

@forrest: Maybe you can give us an update on the development status. Can't be so tricky to port it from one access point to the other. Were are waiting for the release since month now. Please provide a schedule for this feature.

Normally we will add some new features and fix some bugs, that's why it needs a long time to release a new firmware. For the EAP245v3, we are still testing it, we hope we can fix all bugs before releasing it, to avoid problems when using.

Well @forrest, this is nearly the same answer than half a year ago. Where is the problem and why testing takes so long. Ist there a roadmap and an schedule for features.

I'm really sorry, but i can see any progress in this feature if your are testing on and on.

Can we expect this feature in the next release? When is TP-Link expexting to release the next update?

The last firmware update was still without the mesh function. 

Could you please provide us more information on the progress of this important feature. 

@TWulf Have you thought about just running a long ethernet cable and placing the access point as far as it will go? Use it as an interim solution until the software is out. Know its not right that this feature was advertised and it has been almost a year but try that for now?
