I have just bought an EAP245 AC1750 Access Point to replace an aging Linksys device running DD-WRT. The unit I received is, somewhat to my surprise, a V1 model. After configuring the unit it works perfectly and all my devices (around 12) can connect to either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. The one exception is a Roku 3. Whatever I do config wise, it will not connect to either band. It always fails with a Roku error 014 30. The AP is running firmware 1.4.0 Build 20180323 Rel. 32551(4555).

If I swap back my old AP, the Roku connects immediately. While this appears to be an issue with the Roku, I only have a limited time to fix the issue or reluctantly return the AP.

Any advice welcomed.

Hi,

Do you mean the Roku3 can see the SSID of EAP245v1, but it can not connect to it?

1.  What's the Channel and Channel width that EAP245v1 is using? You can try to change the Channel and Channel width for checking.

2. The Roku3 may not support special character of SSID. Please check if the SSID and the password of EAP245v1 have special characters. Please set a alphanumeric SSID and password of EAP245v1 and check if the problem still exist.
