Hi xztian:
I met this issue also. I have asked TP-Link Technical support also, They said this is the Bug. They will fix this bug in the next offical firmware.
You can ask them also.

I Have the same Router and same problem, it seems they know it is a bug and will fix it in the next update, hopefully it comes soon as this feature is one of the reasons I bought this router in the first place.

@xztian I hit the same issue: IP statistics were working, but then stopped after updating firmware.
After fiddling about a bit I managed to get statistics working again by reverting to an older version of the firmware:
1. Ensure IP stats are turned off (Status -> Traffic Stats -> IP stats: Enable IP Statistics set to OFF)
2. Install firmware 6.0.2 Build 20180211 Rel.60963 (System Tools -> Management -> Firmware Upgrade: TL-R470T+v6_un_6.0.2_20180211-rel60963_up.bin)
3. Restore to factory settings (System Tools -> Management -> Factory Default Restore).
4. Turn IP stats on (Status -> Traffic Stats -> IP stats: Enable IP Statistics set to ON)
After doing that the IP stats are working again.
(I took a back-up before the original firmware update. I got all those settings back up turning off IP stats, and then restoring the back-up. I am now back on the old firmware (6.0.2 Build 20180211 Rel.60963), with IP stats working, and all my settings restored.)

if you ask smb support, they will send u a link to beta firmware that fixes it. I'm not sure i'm allowed to share that link here.
either way, i've stopped using this box, since the GPL source tree is non-functional, moved to a more opensource friendly device.
good luck,
Stormy

I also have this issue. Please can the support team fix this issue. When a product is advertised with certain features but then they do not work it is against the trade description act in the UK. It's a pain to setup your system to find that it does not work and then have to return the device. Like most others I assumed it was something that I was doing wrong and then had to waste time searching for answers/
