[SOLVED] T1500G-10PS faulty VLAN after reboots

I have an "funny" issue, on my T1500G-10PS switch, where I have configured one single VLAN (except the default VLAN1).

Whenever the switches reboots, the VLAN configuration is lost. Not lost in that sense its gone, but its not working. I can still see VLAN configuration through the webUI, and its correctly configured here. But I need to delete this faulty VLAN and recreate it, using the exact same settings, and then it works, until the next switch reboot?

Its running the latest firmware , which is kinda old. : 1.0.0 Build 20170607 Rel.38008(s)

Hardware version is: T1500G-10PS 1.0

Hi IBM:

Why you do not upgrade the firmware to T1500G-10PS 2.0 180330?

For this model number, you can use V2 firmware.

Maybe you will not find this issue.

Hi thanks for replying.

Are you sure about this ? if I select the proper verison, and region, then I cannot find any firmware at all for the 2.0 model. It seems that tp-link is very strict regarding models, and versions? And they also warn about this under the download page...

No firmware for DK: https://www.tp-link.com/dk/download/T1500G-10PS.html

Firmware for SE and UK though. (weird). https://www.tp-link.com/se/download/T1500G-10PS_V2.html#Firmware

TPTHZ is right, you can upgrade a hardware version 1 of T1500G-10PS to firmware version 2. I would say TP-Link is very chaotic regarding hardware versions and firmware versioning schemes (same with other products, too).

Note that the firmware v2 will identify your v1 switch as a v2 hardware after the upgrade. Kind of "hardware upgrade" using just firmware. laugh

This just means that TP-Link DK has not published the firmware yet. Just use the one from another TP-Link website, it's always the same firmware no matter which country you are in.

I've updated to the version 2 firmware, T1500G-10PS(UN)_V2_180330 to be exact, from the "UK site", and it actually have solved the issue.

THANKS to both of you! :)
