TPlink CPE 510 firmware
TPlink CPE 510 firmware
Good morning, I have a TP-link CPE 510 v2 that I bought in the United States but I can not contact the network that I need in my country. Can I change the firmware to the international version without breaking wifi? Thanks.

Thank you @R1D2, but unfortunately it didn't work.
It shows the message "Testmode Enable!" but after reboot (and also before) I still can't change the region or channels.
Maybe this version of Pharos doesn't allow it or maybe it is the CPE610...

I have no CPE610, but I do have a CPE510 V1 running the same software. In fact, I directly flashed the CPE610 firmware image on the CPE510. However, CPE510 V1 devices always had region selection and test mode and I still have some V1 devices on stock because they have a second Ethernet port (very useful for connecting outdoor EAPs), which was removed in V2 devices together with the region menu. So, unfortunately I can not test with a CPE610 here.

Hello HendrixDJ,
sure, see post #11 for how to do this.
But be warned: I receive mails from people then and when who got into big troubles with regulatory authorities, resp. with law enforcement.
The authorities actively scan the WiFi bands in over-crowded regions for violations of the EIRP nowadays. I don't know what EIRP is allowed in your country, but in the whole EU violations of the EIRP limit are prosecuted since they became a massive problem for other commercial services in the 5 GHz band.
See also morpheuz' post in #12 - it seems to not work anymore either with CPE610 or with newer Pharos firmware versions.

brother first I want to thank you for your response ........ I enabled it by putty by showing me the message "Testmode Enable!" but it doesn't work ....... there may be another mechanism or it really doesn't work for this team.

I know that it once worked with CPE510 v2, but probably it was disabled in later firmware versions. Didi you reboot the CPE?
Unfortunately, I can't test which firmware version did allow testmode last time since I have only CPE510 v1 which has testmode enabled by default.
