Help with a EAP225-Outdoor (AC1200) that keeps changing its 5Ghz wifi channel

Hello fellow TPLink'ers!
First post here but I've been browsing for a while :)
Ok, this time I search the forum but came up empty so here's the deal:
Equipment on site:
1 - EAP225-Outdoor with the latest firmware 1.2.0 Build 20180411 Rel. 63038(4555)
4 - CPE510 V2 also with the latest firmware 2.1.11 Build 20180117 Rel. 68885(4555)
Implemented scenario:
The EAP225 is broadcasting both 2.4Ghz for a couple end-users to connect to directly; and it's also broadcasting 5Ghz only for the 4 CPE510.
I'm only using 1 SSID in 2.4Ghz, and also only 1 SSID for 5Ghz.
The 4 CPE510 are operating on cliente mode. Each of them then has a switch for a couple end-users as well.
The problem:
For some reason, I force the 5Ghz to a specific channel (either 100; 112 or 136) and a few hours later, the EAP is broadcasting on channel 36 56 64 or whatever, and that causes the 4 CPE510 not to work since they only seem to work on channel 100 or above
So basically, I'm logging everyday to the EAP225 to change it's channel from whatever back to the values I need.
The end-users who use the 2.4Ghz SSID never report any problems what-so-ever! I have also never noticed any miss-configuration in the 2.4Ghz section of the network. It's always as I want it!
I am the only 5Ghz SSID in the area, but there is around 6/7 2.4Ghz SSIDs present...
I'm in Europe by the way!
The help request:
What can I do to improve this situation? What may be causing all this trouble?
The way I see it I can solve this two ways:
Either I force the EAP225 channel and it stays there where I want him to work, or
[*]I configure the 4 CPE510 to also work on a broader range of channels (which I don't see any GUI options what-so-ever)

Hello Darren!
Thanks for the reply! Concerning your offer, if a stable patch is quick enough (a couple days) then I can wait. But on the other hand, if it takes a couple months for it to be properly tested by QA and whatnot, then sure, send me a link of the current beta version that addresses this issue!
Thank you!

Hello Darren, I have received your beta firmware and I have been using it for 4 days now (since Friday 3 aug) and so far the issue is being supressed
One thing I've noticed is that the ICMP traffic seems to have been blocked in this beta fw.
I have remote hosts working without problems and going to the internet and whatnot, but I simply cannot ping them from within the same VLAN.
Care to pass along this message? It worked fine up until now. EDIT: Now being the day of the fw upgrade.
I use ICMP for functions like keepalive and such so it's a minor issue, but might be worth looking into it.

Hi,
I have the same problem, but with 3 EAP225-Outdoor (FW 1.3.0) in an outdoor mesh network. The root AP's 5G radio is set to auto with channel limit. It starts with channel 100 after reboot, but then randomly switches to a channel < 100 after a while. The wireless APs lose connection and usually don't reconnect until I reboot the root AP.
So far this is a field test on a camping ground, and it works well as long as the channel does not change. We would now like to order a few more EAPs, but first need a fix for the problem. Darren, could you please also send me the beta FW?

This is an old thread but I'm looking forward for an answer here.
Is there's any update with this problem?
Did someone fix or solve this? I really _ _ _ _ with this device.
The 2 EAP225-Outdoor(US) always go to channel 36(5G). Even the other EAP or the EAP320 work properly. I disable the firewall and the antivirus, thinking that is the reason behind it, but still nothing still error.
Any answer from 2018 thread to 2019, UPDATES?

I installed the EAP225 outdoor and it keeps disconnecting. Is there a firmware update that fixes this or should I open ports on the firewall? If I do a reset on the switch it shows up
but disconnects after a minute one the controller shows connected.

If the Outdoor APs are meshed, update all nodes to the same (latest) firmware. Also be aware that DFS can request changing certain channels, but meshed APs will follow then.
