Hi all,
I've a WBS210, connected with cable to a WiFi router, in AP mode. At this AP are connected only 4 IP camera, 3 of them with WiFi, and the last one with ethernet cable to the WBS210 directly.
I've configured the cameras to connect to the AP, and they did work for a while (24 hours). Now they are not connected anymore, and I can't connect with my smartphone too, even if the WiFi SSID is visible.
I can only connect trough the router's WiFi at the web interface of the WBS210, that reports no problem.
I think is a firmware problem of the WBS210. At this time it has a TP_Pharos_V2.1.6_170908 firmware installed.
What can I do?

I've tried with 802.11g, fixed channel, fixed security (WPA with AES) 20MHz only, for reducing compatibility problems, but I can't still connect. Maybe rebooting the WBS210 I will connect again, but I think that the problem will occur again very soon.

Thanks

Try firmware 2.1.11 for HW v1 or 2.1.12 for HW v2.

For 2.1.11 you need to download CPE510(EU)_2.0-up-ver2-1-11-P1[20180117-rel68885], which also installs on WBS210 v1.x.
I did not try to install 2.1.12 on older HW (yet), but will examine this soon when there is more time.

Which antenna do you use with WBS210? TL-ANT2415MS or TL-ANT2410MO?

Today I've checked again, and I noticed that the wifi cameras was turn off. Now they are connected again, and the wifi connection seems stable, but I don't know for how much time they will work. I don't feel confident with this WBS210, the web interface is very slow. The firmware version I've installed is the last available for my country (Italy). I've bought 2 TL-ANT2408CL antenna, because I need a omnidirectional AP, and on this forum I saw a thread that talked about this unusual antenna on the WBS210.
I will let you know the next week if there was a disconnection, I hope not.

Whatever firmware version this is, the latest for planet earth is 2.1.11 for HW v1.x and 2.1.12 for HW v2 and later. You can download the firmware 2.1.11 from the german website, but it's been published on the support page for CPE510 last time I checked. Don't worry, Pharos firmware for CPE510, WBS210 and WBS510 is the same and it is valid for all countries. Region selection is done by magic cookies stored in the flash ROM of the device. Although it's detected by the firmware, it is not stored in the firmware file. Therefore you can use this firmware for every region.

I know this thread, it was my post re TL-ANT2408CL. Albeit not ideal for WBS210 you can indeed use two TL-ANT2408CL for omnidirectional coverage. TP-Link finally could be convinced to also offer the new TL-ANT2410MO omni antenna in the EU and this seems to be the perfect antenna, specially designed for WBS210. As soon as they become available, I will test one of those antennas.

As for stability, the WBS and CPEs are the best outdoor APs in their price classes I have seen so far. Just obey the instructions in the installation guide and ground the device to mitigate against electrostatic discharge (ESD), this will ensure a long-term stability.

Here is the link of the firmware: https://www.tp-link.com/it/download/WBS210_V1.html#Firmware
I've a V1.2 hardware version.

That's an outdated version. Try this one: https://www.tp-link.com/de/download/CPE510_V2.html

It's 2.1.11 and works fine on my WBS210 v1.2 and even on CPE210 v1.0. It should also install on WBS510 v1.2 (if not, it will just print a warning, so you can be sure that it works, if it can be installed). Don't ask me why TP-Link doesn't publish this version of Pharos on the WBS pages.

In particular, this bug which caused disconnects has been fixed since 2.1.6: http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?101999-WBS510_V2_171026_Beta-Fix-the-problem-that-WBS510-as-AP-will-disconnect-with-all-stations-after-running-for-a-while

Just did a quick check of firmware 2.1.12 Build 20180202 Rel. 58819, available here: https://www.tp-link.com/de/download/WBS510_V2.html#Firmware

It installs fine on:

- WBS210 v1.2
- CPE510 v1.1
- CPE210 v1.0

and of course, WBS510 v1.2, too, I'm sure.

BTW: If you think the web UI is slow, you don't have experienced firmware 1.3.3 or UBNT web UI. Compared to those the 2.1.x web UI is blazing fast.

Sorry, but on url you wrote there are only (for V2 version, that is not my hardware version, but you say that can work even with the WBS210 1.2 hardware):

WBS510(UN)_v2.0_20180202

TP_Pharos_V2.1.6_170908

TP_PharOS_2.1.0_170609

I don't see the 2.1.12 nor 2.1.11

This is 2.1.12. The v2.0 is the hardware version, not the firmware version. Never mind, it installs on HW v1.x, too.

Just download and you will find the file WBS510(UN)_2.0-up-ver2-1-12-P1[20180202-rel58819].bin
UN means "universal", it is for all regions.
