Yes I connected the cpe directly to the switch atm I've a patch feeding the uplink of the 4port switch which I'm almost sure is 48v didn't know there was any other type, the internets on at the laptop. Waiting on another dvr coming

Does your CPE have two Ethernet ports (not the PoE adapter, this has one PoE out port and a LAN port)? CPE hardware v1 has a second LAN port labeled LAN1 beside LAN0, which is the PoE in port. LAN1 can be used the same way just as the LAN port on the PoE injector. So, you actually have two LAN ports on a CPE210 v1.If your CPE version is v2, it has only one (PoE in) port labeled LAN0. Then I would recommend to either connect the PoE injector's LAN port to a dumb switch or to use a switch like those in the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X and EdgeRouter X-SFP (which are actually routers, but they can be configured to work just as switches).The ER X has one PoE in port, one PoE pass-through port (both 24 volts) and three LAN ports. It could be powered by the PoE in, too. Its power consumption is max. 5 watts, so if your CPE's PoE injector can provide at least ~18 watts (see the label on the bottom of the injector), it would fit perfectly to extend the CPE by three more LAN ports.The ER X-SFP has 5 PoE out ports with 24 volts suitable to power up to four or even five CPEs. Its power adapter provides 50 watts.
