The hardware version is the one printed on the label on the device. The software version shown by EAPC might come from a version mismatch of the 20170725 firmware, which initially was intended for EAP v2, but actually was stamped 1.1.2 in the software and in the name of the ZIP archive.

Almost all version numbers - HW and SW - were bumped during the "Visual Identity Upgrade" on the occasion of the 20 year anniversary of TP-Link. They changed the logo on the cases and packages, in the web UI etc. But the actual hardware of EAPs did indeed not change. So there is actually no difference on v2 devices with a new logo and v1 devices with old logo. Both can be flashed with latest firmware, be it v1 or v2. Same for Pharos and some switches - e.g. TL-SG108E shows version 3 in the web UI as its HW version if flashed with version 3 firmware, but indeed still is HW version 2 according to the label.

Ah, ok. The firmware files for EAP320 on the TP-Link homepage have the same datestamp. I hope that this will not change in the future.

Thanks
