I just audited my network and the following error came up:

TCP port 0 is open on the remote host. This is highly suspicious as this TCP port is reserved and should not be used. This might be a backdoor (REx).

So why is port 0 open on the switch? How can I close it?

NMAP also detects port 0 open:

sudo nmap 10.0.0.182 -p 0

Starting Nmap 7.01 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2017-11-04 09:54 CET
Nmap scan report for TL-SG1016DE.*****.net (10.0.0.182)
Host is up (0.0062s latency).
PORT STATE SERVICE
0/tcp open unknown
MAC Address: 60:E3:27:26:00:CB (Tp-link Technologies)

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.56 seconds

I'm using v1.0. So it seems it is fixed in newer models.

Can I expect a firmware update which resolves this issue?

I do not know, In my opinion, you can contact with tp-link. But according to my experience,it is difficult.after all, this is V1.0, the old version.
If this is not critical issue, they will not release firmware.
