Hello Guys,

i have one TP-Link EAP225 AP and a FritzBox 7490 as a Router.
Switch is the TP-Link T1600G-28PS.
I want to build 2 SSID´s in the AP (One as a Guest Network).
In the KB i only see a Tutorial how to configure it with 2 Router.
The FritzBox 7490 has the function that i can switch LAN Port 4 into a Guest Port with a different Subnet.
Has someone any Information or can help me how i can configure the AP, the Router and my Switch (TP-Link T1600G-28PS)
that i have one WLAN for my internal Network and one for Guests who does not have access to my internal Network?
Is this with my Hardware even possible?

Thanks in advance

Greetings

Do you need the two SSIDs to be in the different subnets?
If not, you may simply configure two SSIDs on EAP225(on its web interface). See page 9 at http://static.tp-link.com/1910012160_EAP_UG.pdf You don't have to configure the guest network on your router. And you also need to configure the VLANs on your switch.

If you need to configure two SSIDs with two subnets, your hardware can't realize this since your router doesn't have multinet-NAT

Yes, it should be possible if you can assign a port on the FB to the guest network.

Create a separate VLAN for the guest network on the T1600. Connect the LAN of the FB to the default VLAN and the guest network's port to an untagged T1600 port, which is member of the guest network VLAN. Connect the EAP to a tagged port, which is member of both VLANs and assign the two SSIDs to those VLANs. The Fritz!Box indeed has multi-net NAT.
