I wanted to ask if the controller software is running on a Rasbarry Py (under Snappy Ubuntu Core), since I can get so much power, and have a durging disposition. On the Rasbarry is echoing only a Slimmed version of Ubuntu.
Thanks in advance for the answer!

Thank you for the great work!
Unfortunately I tried running it on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ without success: even after manually editing all the required rows in the control.sh file and after installing aforementioned java version, the controller is unable to start.
The generic reported error is:
./usr/bin/tpeap: line 68: /opt/tplink/EAPController/bin/portt: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
while log shows the following:
og4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.tp_link.eap.util.system.SystemUtil).log4j:WARN Plase initialize the log4j system properly.
[...]
EDIT: I partially found the problem. The tpeap file in /usr/bin/tpeap was not correctly edited/replaced by the script.
So I manually edited, as per your indications an now the EAPController seems to start.
The command tpeap start takes about 2 minutes to complete, and I can see the corresponding process in htop.
But apparently there is nothing listening on port 8088.

There is EAP Controller version 2.6.1 including a portable portt script, which runs fine on Raspberry Pi Model 3.
