Can't remove device from Kasa

I have 3 smart plug mini. They worked fine but then I shipped one to my friend in the mail. Now I can't remove this device from the app because it looks like the only way to remove a device is to click it and the press "remove device". However if the device is no longer connected to wifi, the app does not allow the user to click into the device and therefore the remove device option never comes up.
How does one remove a device from the app that is no longer on the wifi network.
