Model: Tapo C120
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2

All 6 of my Tapo c120's are exhibiting this unusual behavior where them seem to reboot. You can hear the startup sounds like some clicks. And on recordings, you see it seemly start fresh without its settings applied as shown in the screenshot. This may have started with this 1.2.2 firmware but I'm not sure. Surprised to not see other posts about it. All six of my cameras are glitching out and restarting randomly throughout the day.

Here is a video of the behavior. As you can see, there are loads of solid black lines on the timeline which is when the camera is off/not recording.

  @weyemar

All 4 of mine have been doing this since updating to 1.22 firmware.  Also they seem to take turns going comptetely offline alltogether.

  @Agent_J Thanks for sharing! I’m glad to know I’m not alone in this. I opened a ticket with TP-Link and sent them the logs. I’m a bit surprised that such a big issue wasn’t fixed sooner, but I’m hoping for a firmware update soon. Here’s their response:

Hi Marcus,

I regret that we were not yet able to resolve your concerns. To ensure you get the best support possible I would like to escalate your case to our engineering team, who will be able to resolve your concern more effectively.

Please be aware that there are typically 2 business days response time for engineering. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
