I wanted to add to the KB of ways to install the KS230 3-way dimmer switches if your 3 way circuit is one of the several others than the single one provided in the instructions.  Here's what worked for my house where my 3 way circuit has the lights connected between the switches rather than connected to the first switch.  Here's my 3-way wiring configuration I used for the KS230 pair:
