Model: HS103
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

The app says it cannot connect because my network is unsecured.

I use a MAC list for security.   Only devices I register have access to the network.  It is secure.  You kindly provided the MAC on the smartplug and I registered it but then got the 'unsecured network' message.

Is there a way around this or is the plug going to a landfill?

Thanks

  @John_Doe2,

Unfortunately,

Assuming that you have it set so your network does not require a password to connect, you will not be able to connect the device to that network.

All of our Smart devices require that they connect to a secured wireless network. You may see if you can enable a guest network on your router for just your smart devices.

" All of our Smart devices require that they connect to a secured wireless network. "

But I do have a secured wireless network.

Someone made a poor, ill-informed decision.
