I can add this bulb to TP Link app but not the Kasa app. I'd like to add it to the Kasa app so I don't need to have 2 different apps to control my bulbs. Is this possible. I see on other online threads that I should be able to add TP Link devices to my Kasa app...

The model number of your bulb should be Tapo L530E, it is managed by the Tapo APP, not the Kasa app.
If you want to add the feature to manage your TP-Link smart devices within one app, please feel free to vote on this thread.
