so i installed a hs210 in a 4 way circuit (1 light controlled by 3 switches). i replaced the first 3-way switch in the circuit. the hs210 works fine, however it doesn't detect on the app when the light is turned on/off with the 4 way switch or the other 3 way switch. for example, if the app shows that the light is off, i turned on the light with either non smart switch, the app doesn't know that the light is on. would installing the 2nd hs210 fix this or?

  @AA2023 The HS210 is a 3-way switch rather than a 4-way, which may be why the HS210 does not work fine in a 4-way circuit, you can use the HS210 in a 3-way circuit to check if it will work fine.

You can make Feit switch dimmers work in a 4 way with some mild wiring creativity using 1 dimmer and 2 passive switches. Otherwise the Leviton Decora stuff works and gives you dimming at each location. I've got FEIT and Kasa in my home. My son has Leviton. If you don't mind the Leviton greater cost I can say this these things: 1) Their phone tech support is top notch. Fantastic. 2) We've seen exactly zero failures over something like 60 switches in his home. 3) They are super stable about light bulb dimmer compatibility and flicker. Really solid stuff.
