Model: KC420WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.3.16

I have 4 KC420WS. And they all automatically decrease the camera resolution setting from 2K down to 1080P after a week or so. Please fix on next firmware update.

Hello   @mksocal

Thank you for the case report, it is recommended to change back to 2K resolution and observe if issue will happen again.

If so, please share a photo when you find out it is on 1080P, please also check my PM and help collect the app log, thank you.

  @Solla-topee

Thx for reply. Do I need to uninstall my existing Kasa app from the app store to use the beta app?

And I already changed the resolution back to 2K. It's just a matter of time when it will revert back to 1080p automatically. It's done this since I installed these cameras a month ago. The screenshot will just show 1080p. Nothing else to see. But I will send you the log file if I can figure it out how to access the folders.

And if I need to use the beta app, then I will.not get regular updates from the app store. Right?

Edit: feel free to let us know any update, thank you!

  @mksocal The app should be an independent app.And you can uninstall the Trial app anytime and install the latest app from the Google play store.
