Hello

I'm running a dozen EP25P4 outlets on my OMADA SDN managed network setup (ER605 Router/OC200 Controller). My router is setup as the DHCP server for my LAN with a DHCP range of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254. I recently noticed that several of my EP25P4 devices are connected to my network with an IP address outside of the set range (e.g 169.254.17.175 or 169.254.241.21 or 169.254.176.178). I've tried assigning static IP addresses to these devices running rogue IPs and they still refuse to take an address within the predefined range. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or resolve this behavior?

Also, this forum required I select a model to assign to this post, and model EP25P4 is not on the list so I chose the model with the closest nomenclature (EP10P4).

Thank you for your help in advance!

  @OneBadGADawg,

Are the devices still functioning while they are connected with an IP outside of the range?

If I'm not mistaken, you should not be able to control the plugs at all, if you are able to control the devices, my first thought is that there is some kind of function on the network that is putting the devices on their own 'virtual network' of some sort. I would assume that, as the ER605 is a VPN router, it would be one of the VPN settings that is interfering since VPNs are the most common issue for users having problems connecting their devices to a SOHO router.

  @OneBadGADawg If you see 169.254.x.x addresses, it means that the devices did not receive DHCP address assignments.
