Maybe I'm just blind, but it seems to me that whatever API's (cloud?) tp-link has developed is still closed. The Kasa system, especially for lights, is very limited in my opinion, and updates and new features are far in between (get on it really, you're painfully slow, and it's a big fu to your customers). Would it really hurt that much to open things up? I would love to see community made effects and scenes, and in general be able to customize my own beyond what's currently possible/feasible with the Kasa app. I am aware of the python-kasa library, but it seems to still be quite limited.
