Eh, since tp-link left us waiting/abandonded for HomeKit updates on our Kasa smart plugs blowing in the wind, does this mean Kasa will be Matter capable and we can just get some kind of Zigbee* hub in 2022 (Matter hub?) which brings all our old (not really) Alexa, HomeKit, Google, et al devices into one controler Matter app of some kind? (which is the whole idea behind Matter)

This will enable us to keep using our “old” Kasa Alexa smart plugs as well as that accidental Google device we all seem to have bought plus our HomeKit devices, working for a few more years under one controling UI and system (AKA: Matter). Right? True?

*Hmm, so, my 4th gen Amazon Echos are Zigbee hubs… Maybe I buy nothing and just wait for a magical Matter app with an Amazon, Apple, Google update?
