I have just got Kasa smart switch. However, I ran into the issues in wiring the smart switch. The existing switch has one black wire, one white wire and one ground wire. HS 200 needs two black wires. Can I still use HS 200 in this case?

Thanks,

@KuShan Connect the black wire from the switch to one of the black leads of the HS200.

Connect the white wire from the switch to the other black lead of the HS200.

Connect the green lead of the HS200 to the ground.

In the box there needs to be a group of white wires under a wirenut that would be the neutral, if not you can't use the HS200.

If the neutral is there then add the white lead of the HS200 to the group of white wires.
