Parent passed;so, want to move camera from account that my son set up to my home to check on grand babies.

Can anyone help? Do I need to open a new account?

Hi Steve, I'm very sorry for your loss.

 

Here is what I would do, and you do not need to change accounts.

 

In the app, delete the camera from the app, this will cause the camera to reset or you will see the camera's LED go amber and green (If it does not, hold the reset for 20 seconds). Now, take the camera to the new place you want it power it on and wait until the LED goes amber and green. Now install the camera again, here is a FAQ for reference: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1957/

 

When adding and removing the same camera, all previous video is still in the cloud or video that is currently avaialble. Only if you create a new TP-Link ID account and add the camera to that new account will there not be previous video.
