Take a look at the support video we have for the product found here.  If the wiring in your home does not match the standards used in our video it would be advised that you do contact an electrician to help install it as the eletrician that wired your home may have used wires with different seathing.  Most electricans shouldn't charge much to install a switch.

Does the video not apply because the wires are not the same?  That quote does suck, especially how long they want you to wait.  Maybe yelp can help you find a local contractor or ma and pa electrician.  I had to have some work done recently and it was just the service call price of 90 bucks to come investigate and repair the problem. Not sure how it is in your area though but for me here that was pretty inexpensive considering.  Though, yes some area are different.  I know we have some very knowlegable community members that might be able to help in particular @B.Will has been most helpful.  Maybe he can help and I can also learn more of the abstract.
