Internet connection required to add device in Kasa
Why is an internet connection required to add a device with Kasa? I live in a rural area, the fixed-base wireless ISP goes down occasionally. My Wi-Fi (tp-link router) stays up, naturally, during these periods. Kasa insists on having an internet connection (not just a connection via wifi to a lan) to add a device. Is this really necessary?
