KL430 LED Strip Availability?
Does anyone know when the KL430 LED Strip will become available? It originally said coming Summer 2019. But now the page no longer works. Was it cancelled?
Thanks!

Our smart home team tested again with the Google Hub, and relayed functionality worked normal like it does with the smart bulbs.
Here are the commands that were used in the tests:
set “yourdevicename” to red
set “yourdevicename” light to blue
set “yourdevicename” light lower
brighten “yourdevicename” light
Dim the “yourdevicename” 20%
Brighten “yourdevicename” 20%
Set “yourdevicename” 50%
set “yourdevicename” light to green
set “yourdevicename” to red
is “yourdevicename” light on?
is “yourdevicename” light off?
Here is a FAQ that we have that should help if you still have an issue: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2228/
Our testers mentioned they used the KL430 v1.0.6 and the Deco M9 Plus v1.3.0 and were able to add the KL430.
Do you guys have the same setup? If not, what is the Deco firmware, and the Deco app firmware, and KL430 firmware?

Apologies - I thought I was clear... I cannot turn them using an On/Off command like all the other TP Link Kasa bulbs I have. The LED strip only responds to brightness ("100% or 0%") to turn the LED strip on or off.
Ask the test team to do the following:
set "DeviceName" to off
set "DeviceName" to on
turn "DeviceName" to off
turn "DeviceName" to on
It's really stupid that this does not work. Seems like this product was released too early and there is missing features (like the section LED control) and bugs...

I can confirm I am using those listed versions for the firmware. The app version is the latest available on Android 1.9.8.

Please provide screenshots of what you are seeing. I want to get those over to the testers.

Here you go. As you can see the kl430 only shows as a network device only.
Thanks

Once the KL430 is connected to the Deco network, while in the Deco app (dashboard), select the plug symbol on the top right, and select smart devices, choose TP-Link. The app will show a notice it recognized the KL430, once you add it, the KL430 should move from devices to another category in which case you can then select it while in the home automation screen.

Thank you for the info. That worked. Perhaps it could be more clear in the apps that this step is needed? I was not used to this since all my other switches I had previously showed automatically.
Thanks again.

@Tony Do you know if there are any extension strips available for the KL430? The product pages mentions "Connect up to 10 sections for a total length of 33ft" so it implies that we can add extensions. Do we have to buy the full kit?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

@RyanJW @Tony Yes also having issues with Google home turning the light strip on or off. It sees it's status but doesn't accept the commands. My workaround is leaving my kasa account linked but not adding the light strip to a home or room. Then it works fine. Turns on and off correctly. So seems the problem is as soon as you add the light strip to a home or room.
