Model: TL-WPA4530 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

My home network, using the TL-WPA4530's, has been working fine for over a year.  I recently added some LED EggLites (w/Transformer) on a timer outside. Through trial and error I have come to a conclusion that when these lights go on at night the network extension to the outside buildings gets knocked out. I've tried several different timers to no avail. Any suggestions? I was considering a power filter at the transformer, but they are pricey and I don't want to waste my money if it won't help. Thank you in advance.

The powerline adapters seem to be getting too much interference for the signal to traverse. You could try different outlets, for now, to see if that may help. Our powerline adapters that use the HomePlug AV2 protocol (AV1000 and above, check the description to make sure) does a better job sending the signal so that may be a possible solution.

Since I only have One outlet in each building I won’t have the option of moving it. So power filters won’t help?

Yes, it would help.

Please make sure that the frequency band blocked by the Power Filter contains 0-80Mhz.

Also, make sure that the Power Filter is not between any two powerline adapters.

@Tony Are the AV1000s compatible with these? Or, would I have to replace all the WPA4530s?

@brian960

All TP-Link powerline devices are compatible with each other. The only thing to note is the AV network speed will be set according to the slowest device.
