Tapo plugs suddenly intermittent with Alexa and Home assistant
I have about 20 tapo plugs (P100 and P110) which have worked fine for several months. Over the last 24 hours Ive had problems with individual ones becoming unresponsive in both Alexa and in the Home Assistant integration. Nothing has changed on the network, there are no signal issues. It seems to happen rendomlya dn by unplugging the plug and plugging in again it will connnect again - for a while. They seem to remain connected through the Tapo app mostly during this - but niot always. What's going on? Has there been an update that's broken something?

@geofflove My P100s are all doing the exact same thing and only recently too. I wonder if there was a firmware update that did something?

Same problem with P110 en P115 in Home assistant
Deleted them from HA and tried adding them but i get the error : Unknown error occurred after entering the login credentials.
I am aware of another person having the exact same problem.

@geofflove I am experiencing problems with my P110 and P100 plugs since last night. Devices (TV/PC/PS5) that using P110 restart randomly which turn off and on my TV/PC power. And they all show offline in Tapo app this morning. Restart WiFi won't help, until I have to remove the plug from socket, and plugged it back again.
I am not using them now since they are turning off my devices randomly.

@geofflove The seems to be a widespread problem judging by comments elsewhere onljne. It's a shame TP can''t post a status update somewhere to let people know what's happeneing and when a fix is expected.

@geofflove
i have the same issues with some of my Plugs.
First i noticed it in Homeassistant and find an created issue report on GIT-HUB home-assistant / core / issues / 122129
there was a hint, can it be that Tapo / TP Link limit there Bandwith for Cloud requests? is that so?
in the Tapo App the plug is mostly reacheble but have also an slightly strange behavior Online / offline for short time
HA is deploying an Fix for this but that dosnt solve the problem for my Alexa commands.

Same issue here with my P110's and oddly, 1 lightbulb. Suddenly yesterday Alexa was showing some of the P110's as not responding along with a lightbulb.
Tapo App shows devices going online and offline.
All plugs randomly turning off and on quickly.
HA has stopped showing data for a few plugs.
So frustrating.

Just as a quick update, I turned my HA off and since then, all devices are back online in Alexa. Maybe a coincidence.
Hoping the 2024.7.3 core update works and whatever caused this issue is fixed, if it is a HA issue and not a TP Link one.

All my Tapo stuff has been doing same which is proper annoying, it seemed to start on Monday this week. I've done the latest update to HA. Everything else is fine apart from a wireless CCTV camera in the garden, it's been solid for 5 years and now won't stay connected either, I've removed it from HA but it's still the same 🤷 wish it was just the Tapo stuff and then at least I'd know they were just the issue

@KezzaRed Is the 2024.7.3 update out yet then? I've not seen it appear for me to install yet?
