HI,  It would be nice to have the alarm go off on my phone only and not on the camera so as not to make the perpatrateur aware that they are being recorded. It is impossible to set a unique notification for the cameras on my phone.  Many thanks.

Hi,
1. If you do not want the camera to alarm when it detects events, you can go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Alarm page to turn off the Alarm feature.

2. Usually, if you have enabled the Notification feature on the camera's Notification page, you will receive detection notifications when the camera detects events.
If you have an Android phone, you can go to the phone's Settings > Apps > Manage apps page, search for the Tapo app, and go to its Notification page to change the notification sound for the Tapo app.
(Note: different Android phones may have different paths to change the notification sound, you can contact phone support for help if you can't find the path.)

Best Regards

Thanks for the rapid response. My Samsung A53g phone will not let me put a different sound for the Tapo camera. I can only use the standard notification sound used for all notifications and not a separate alarm for the camera. As I said it would be advantageous for the alarm going off only on the phone and not on the Camera alerting anyone in the room that they are being filmed. Maybe an alteration in the Tapo software could accomplish this task. Many owners of Tapo cameras in forums are asking the same question. Alan
