DDNS settings lost and unable to update after switch of main Deco unit
I recently swapped my main Deco unit. All the settings were retained, except that I originally had a DDNS domain registered with the TP Link service (tplinkdns.com), but it now shows as disabled. Unfortunately it won't let me update the setting any more - when I try to register it says "Failed to save your settings. Please try again later". I have tried several times for a couple of days, including after rebooting the Deco, and uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile app. I have tried registering with a different DDNS service (NO-IP) but it gives the same message.
I suspect somehow the Deco system has ended up out of sync with TP Link's DDNS cloud service. Because it thinks there is no DDNS setting, when trying to register it with the cloud service it is responding with an error because DDNS is already registered.
Has anyone encountered this before? Is there anything I can do to fix this?
