how to connect Archer c6 ti syrotech onu
I have a BSNL FTTH fibre connection with SyroTech ONU. Many of my smart appliances do not recognise this Syrotech ONU. SO I want to conncet my tp-link router to it through ethernet cable. I have tried the connection with putting ethernet cable one end into LAN port of Syrotech ONU and the other end into WAN port Archer C6, but I am not getting internet connection to my Archer C6. Is there something else or something more that I need to do ? and how to do that ?

Do you have internet access when you connect the computer directly to the LAN port of the SyroTech ONU? This needs to be confirmed first, then you can connect the SyroTech ONU to the C6 as you described, LAN to WAN, choose Dynamic IP on the C6 web GUI if the internet works straight away, check again if there is a WAN IP address on the C6.

Hi Kevin,
I am having similar issue. I have a bsnl connection and my ISP is denying to configure my router because i didnt buy it from him. But he did configure my syrotech modem GEPON ONU and my internet is working fine with Ethernet cable. Now when I am trying to configure my Tp Link WR841N router it's not getting connected. Steps that I followed are as follows.
Step 1:- quick setup
step 2:- Wireless Router(Default)
step 3:- PPPoE/Russia PPPoE
step 4:- Entered password and username given by ISP
step 5:-set my wifi password and ssid.
step 6:- Quick setup confirm( i saved)
after all these steps my internet didnt work.
so i went to network-->WAN and next to disconnect button "connecting..." is showing. after an hour when nothing happened i tried doing the same after resetting my router, this time i did the same setup but from network--> WAN tab and it is again showing "connecting..."
Unfortunately, I am able to use internet only through my ethernet cable (FYI my modem dont have router functionality )
Pleaseee help me out. Pleaseeee
Thanks
Sagar

Hi Sagar, please verify first how did you access the internet when you connect the computer directly to the syrotech modem GEPON ONU, does it plug-and-play? Or do you need to dial up on the computer with the provided username and password?
If it is plug-and-play, there is no need to choose PPPoE on the WR841N WAN, you can leave it Dynamic IP, then reboot the syrotech modem GEPON ONU and the WR841N after the configuration. Check again if it can obtain a WAN IP address from the modem. If not, you can try to clone the computer's MAC address to the WR841N as follows:
