RE200 Unable to connect to modem? Says phones IP is different to the device
Hey! So trying to set up the Range extender, having trouble connecting it the modem.
It either says one of two things:
RE200 Login Failed. Your phone's IP address is not in the same subnet as the device you want to manage. (it says this 99% of time)
OR
Login failed. You may be connected to a guest netword, limited by parental controls or your network may be unstable. (has done this once after a restart)

Is it the first time for you to set up the RE200?
Have you tried to reset the RE200 by holding the reset pinhole for 10s till all the lights turn on then off?
If possible, please try to use the Tether APP to configure the RE200, such as:

My issue was solved. Turned off the internet connection of the phone. I think that could be what the issue was about.

If you failed to login range extender 's web page or Tether app:
- Try a factory reset range extender as the ' recommended solution'
- Phone-- settings--- Wi-Fi-- connect to TPLINK Extender WiFi/ range extender's default SSID
- NOTE: networks devices should be connected to range extender's SSID (not router's wifi) to login it's web page in initial setup
- Turn off VPN / Mobile data on your phone
- Try to login by web browser by " tplinkrepeater.net" or " 192.168.0.254"
If still the problem, may I have a photo of the Error when you set up the range extender? Please conecct to range extender's default SSID and share us a photo & gateway address on your laptop or cell phone: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/838/

Hi @noobique
To login extender on your phone, make sure your phone is connect to Extender Wi-Fi, not using mobile data.
Can you share some details for your concern? May I know the Model and Led status on the extender, thank you.
