TD-W9970 Not recognising any Usb devices
I have tried plugging in a 4gb generic usb drive, a 1tb western digital drive and a 5tb seagate drive into the back of the router and the usb light on the front doesn't light up for any of them and I have no idea why.

@Jamieguk Hi
I've the same issue, I tested it with many diffrent usb storage devices with different format but non of them worked. I also used a 3G modem on the port and it worked.
it seems that the port is just support GSM modems and it's very bad when TPLink spokes about storage sharing feature in this modem.
I'm confused about it. Tp-Link should answer and hepl us about this issue.
Model model is: TD-W9970 v4.0
Firmware version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 210220 Rel.36504n

i also have same issue the usb port is lit up but no usb support on the page anywhere it doesnt exist yet it is advertised as being able to support printer sharing etc.
There is no mention of USB printer sharing in the manual only for a 3g/4g usb device. i bought the device on the idea that i could share my usb printer onto my network are we going to get a reponse from their technical team???
