AC5400 Router loses connections and gives LED controller error
My C5400 router loses the connection to the modem for the internet every thirty minutes for a few seconds (almost one minute). It also seems that the router restarts the WIFI connections. This means that all devices that are connected to the router, such as Google Home, all my smart lamps, etc. must log in again. In the log there is an error message "config importing failed" and this would have to do with the LEDs. I have reset the router to factory settings and the problem remains.
Does anyone know how I can solve this?
----
EDIT:
The connection of the 4 UTP ports is also lost. Very irritating when you watch a movie via Plex ed

@MannStooka or if we could just get some sort of response from tp-link that makes any sense whatsoever.
I find it hard to believe that this isn't a known issue internally (the intermittent connection issues and drops over wifi).
this thread was created because we've already tried everything on our own, from firmware upgrades and resets to troubleshooting power and everything in between.
for the love of god someone at TP-link please help!!!!

I've seen a few threads about this issue, so have been posting in them with a solution for this.
I also had this problem. I tried sorting this out with tp-link tech support, but that was unsuccessful.
In the end I found what worked and I get no disconnects at all now is to go into QoS setting and change every PC, NAS, Chromecast etc to a high priority device.
The only things I left at default were very low bandwidth devices, such as Smart bulbs, smart power boards etc.
Try that, I'm pretty sure this will sort out your issues

@MarcoRenkum I have an AX1500 and having the same problem as everyone else. I called them today and the chat support kept telling me to run a ethernet cable directly to the router and I kept telling him I didn't have one lol, probably 8 times. I say we all get together and file a lawsuit agains TP Link for a lemon product. Least they could do is acknowledge this problem everyone is having but they have not said a thing on any post.

Yes, the new firmware, which was supposed to fix it has the same problem.
Don't know how hard it is. I still use the beta firmware which is ok. Not sure why can't they fix in the release version

Ask for beta firmware:
1.2.4 Build 2018525 rel 55808(5553).
At least this is stable.

It would be pretty great if someone from tp-link would pay some kind of attention to this thread.
I don't why TP-link can't fix the problem.
Not all software engineers are equal in TP-link. The beta version of firmware I have has not been branched into release version.
One of issues with old firmware was pinging DDNS and resetting connection every half an hour.
I have given up with TP link.
