Hi - new member / user
Trying to set time and date on my RE650 - am I missing something or are we living in 2017?

Any help appreciated

Did you choose the correct time zone?

Same issue here on re650: date and time won't update. Date is set to 1/01/2017 on reboot, and stays there. This makes power schedule and led control unusable.

Firmware 1.0.6 Build 20171228 Rel. 42160
My re650 is in AP mode.

Maybe a consequence of one of latest firmware updates (which were supposed to correct an NTP bug with heavy data consumption if I understand correctly).

Also, I don't know of this is related but this device is still heavy on data consumption (about 170 MB last week, running 16h per day). Something definitely wrong here.

My problem seems to have sorted itself out and I suspect that it had to do with internet conectivity. Changing the default gateway to my router may have been the answer.
Or adding DNS settings? I did all that and at some point it got its time updated.

Good luck and thanks for the advice

could you post a screenshot of your TP-Link network settings page, or be more specific please?
TP-link support tols me to set up DHCP to "auto" and force 8.8.8.8 for DNS in my router. But still no time updates...

Thanks.

I wish I could help but the settings are specific to my ISP. Local subnet is specific to my home network and gateway is specific to my ISP also.

Sorry

well of course your LAN and ISP IPs are specific to your setup, but that's not those IPs I'm after... I just would like to see the way you configured your TP-link networkwise (dynamic/static IP, DHCP settings...).

Static IP and DHCP to auto then.
I'll post again if I eventually get this solved.

Thanks for that, much appreciated.
